Alice’s journey to her new life is one of resilience and hope. She was rescued when she was just five years old, saved from the neglectful care of a man who kept her in terrible conditions. At the time of her rescue, Alice was malnourished, severely undergrown, and extremely sick. The toll of her early years of suffering left permanent scars: she lost several fingers, one-fifth of her tail, and her jaw grew warped due to poor nutrition.Thankfully, the man responsible for this cruelty is now in prison, and all the surviving animals in his care have been rehabilitated and rehomed. Alice was among the lucky ones, and her story took a turn for the better. Today, Alice lives a safe, comfortable, and relatively healthy life. With plenty of love, care, and the right environment, she’s thriving in ways her rescuers once thought impossible. Though her body bears the marks of her past, her spirit is strong, and she’s a living testament to the power of compassion and second chances.
